Cast:Rani Mukerji

Director:Gopi Puthran

Mardaani 2 Movie ReviewI was very excited to watch the much-anticipated second installment of the Madonna franchise starring Rani Mukerji playing the role of Shivani Shivaji Roy once more the first installment that release in 2014 focused on the issue of child trafficking and drug smuggling in India the movie which was an above-average hit boasted of great performances by the head rajma scene and Rani Mukerji the second installment which has released

five years later and is written and directed by Gopi Bruton who also wrote the first installment focuses on rapes and murders taking place in the city of Kota a city that is famous for a huge population of students coming in for coaching classes every year as the days go by the number of cases keep on increasing which leads for Shivani Shivaji Rao to take charge and lead the case to finally come to the bottom of who is responsible for such gruesome acts of violence before I get into the film and its content I want to make sure it’s clear that the review is going to be independent of

Rani Mukherjee’s personal opinions and interviews when it comes to the state of women in India her opinions of wanting women to learn martial arts from YouTube videos and ignorance towards the actions of wild man is rather problematic which is why I will only objectively judge this film for its content not the personality that is Rani so here’s me telling you the good and bad aspects of the film so that

Mardaani 2 Movie Reviewyou guys can ultimately decide whether to go for the film or not the underwhelming aspects creative decisions even though I have extremely small issues with the film and its treatment of the subject I am presenting them as moments from the film which could have been way more effective or avoided first of all the background score of the film is such that he doesn’t develop

the same amount of in xiety or tension that is ideal for a thriller for a movie like undertone that presented a piano melody to intentionally counter the morbid nature of the scene or possibly the most effective score in the thrill of the Tamil film Raj Chesson which inadvertently increased her heartbeats as the case was unraveling the sound design in Mardani – does not develop that effect second there is a creative decision taken

in the film where the antagonist breaks the fourth wall and he’ll dresses the audience this creative decision which might have been effective to give an outline of the sheer lunacy and mentally manic state the person is in I felt that it actually took away from creating a sense of mystery around

the psychotic character by breaking the fourth wall the character becomes familiar with the audience and an ideal trailer becomes even more engaging when the character traits are provided to us in small doses rather than a familiar face having a normal conversation with the audience lastly there is a sequence which showcases Shivani Shivaji Roy speaking to the media in which she speaks great lengths

about the destructive and sexist nature of Indian society where the intended goal that is to highlight the daily struggles of being a woman are reached the sequence actually is disconnected from the development of the story and actually doesn’t do anything for the grand scheme of things as the plot develops a moment in the film that

I felt was just placed for a theater reaction rather than a key plot point in the film the good not for the faint-hearted before you step in the theatre for this film you have to be very well-informed about the fact that this film is not meant for the faint-hearted or squeamish the film is unapologetically gorian doesn’t shy away from portraying all the nasty details about the crimes there will be images of the corpses the detail of the act committed with flashbacks of the actual event taking place I read many articles

about Mardani – and they suggested that it glorifies acts of violence I’m sorry to say but that opinion is something I find terribly misleading and disgusting the intention of the creator’s to just showcase the severity of the crimes is not to satisfy some sick twisted part of your brain but to actually showcase the reality at the ground level how many of these Devils that lurk around on a daily who are a product of their

surroundings and upbringing and the lengths to which they go to harm our own daughters and sisters so if you think this film is going to sugarcoat anything you’re highly mistaken it in moments will be extremely tough to watch but from a narrative standpoint is effective in getting its point across screenplay the hero of this film is undoubtedly it screenplay the film is one hour and 46 minutes long and every step of the way I was wondering on

Mardaani 2

how this cat-and-mouse trail is going to develop the characters actions movements are designed to create that viewer experience where you want to guess how the police will get to the bottom of this there were several moments where I thought both the antagonist as well as Ronnie’s character were ten steps ahead of each other but I would be proven wrong there are several moments especially

when the characters cross paths with each other where you feel a sense of fear fear of what could happen fear of whether he would get away yes in the effort of presenting a very gritty and fast-paced thriller the film loses hints of nuance or depth at least with the characters but despite such broad strokes with its storytelling it proves to be extremely effective no

bullshit and highlights the brilliant aspect of this film is that it doesn’t have time to steer its narrative into an unnecessary subplot there is a complete absence of songs in the film or a mind-numbing ly stupid romantic angle it gets right into the meat of the matter immediately the film has a way of not making you rest or disassociate from the story in its design also it impeccably interlinks the world of politics

the police hierarchy and the social structure of the country exquisitely without being far-fetched or in simpler terms fill me through many interactions the film highlights several biases and issues women have to face both in the personal and professional front the preconceived notions people have about successful working women in

the country and victim-blaming as soon as heinous crimes come in the news the slight criticism though that I will have for the film is that even though the film focuses on women being badasses and provides them courage to face grave situations head-on the film completely neglects the issues such as men being accountable for their actions the problems of upbringing the boys of today who will become

the responsible citizens of the country in the future performances the film solely shines because of Vishal Jaya and Rani Mukerji Rani is a Singh the role of Shivani Shivaji Roy for the second time and is brilliant in every frame she features in she is blunt and fearless character traits that make extremely successful in a portfolio but also in the process creates enemies both in the police force as well as the perpetrators in the crime it’s great to see Rani on the big screen and even though her interviews might be cringy to witness her capability as a performer can never be doubted and what a fine by

Yash Raj when it comes to Vishal Jai pas in the first frame itself the man will transfixed you his eyes are so expressive his body language so convincing props have to be given to you Raj for believing in such a young talent Vishal is exceptionally menacing disgusting and vile in this film it was a brilliant marketing strategy as well do not show rushes of him in the trailer as I was shocked on how good he was as the antagonist the impact of the film beyond its screenplays actually

Mardani 2 Movie Review

the powerful performances by Ronnie and beshal so I’m conclude by saying that this film is a gritty disturbing and engaging thriller their focuses on crimes sadly that we are marred by in our society today even though the movie does not focus on how we as a society have failed to teach our boys basic ethics and empathy for other humans it does send its message so highlighting the basic social problems we have even in 2019 and

how we have taken away the basic freedom for our women to live and breathe freely without any fear in this nation and there was a video guys write down in the comments below what you thought about the movie please don’t forget to follow me on Instagram the handles right in front of you follow me a jammie
